The Kahar "Malay Prophet" Trial

Throughout this month of October, my students and I were flocking the Shariah High Court in Shah Alam, following the trial of Abdul Kahar Ahmad, a.k.a the Malay Prophet (Rasul Melayu). he pleaded guilty during the first proceeding on the 24th September. On 2nd of October, his lawyer, Zulkifli Yong and Azmi Rais submitted the mitigation plea. and the aggravation plea was submitted by the prosecution team on the 7th of October. The decision will be delivered on the 21st of October by His Lordship Abu Zaky Mohamad at 10.00 a.m. We shall wait to see what is the outcome of this case. Is it going to be the end or just the beginning. Mind you, his followers have already declared that the guilty plea does not mean that they are losing, just a strategy for reduction of punishment. We shall see...
